As an investor/buyer, he has successfully completed over 45 M&A transactions. Prior to co-founding Vimtra, Subash built and spin out many successful startup information technology solutions companies.
Subash has held positions for multinational corporations in the information technology, infrastructure, real estate, banking, and entertainment industries as a C-level executive and board advisor.
Subash has successfully negotiated and implemented numerous reorganization plans, asset sales, and creditor settlements, and has extensive expertise assisting companies in financial crisis on issues such as corporate governance and financing.

Rao and his team have advised on a number of global and opportunity-based investments in the infrastructure, real estate, and industrial sectors. Rao has extensive experience in North American and Indian commercial real estate markets and development projects, and has led initiatives involving market research, feasibility studies, land premium negotiations, development projects, and joint venture agreements.
During this time, he was in charge of delivering strategic guidance and advisory services to occupiers, retailers, and investors, as well as giving property development, investment, and financial viability advice to a wide range of corporations, landowners, and developers. Rao has led projects for clients with budgets ranging from $8 million to $120 million dollars in size all around the world.
Rao has advised clients on workouts and restructuring involving commercial and industrial buildings, hotels, residential subdivisions, retail malls and shopping centers, and mixed-use properties throughout North America and Asia.
Rao has advised secured and unsecured creditors, loan servicers’, acquirers, and other interested parties in major debt restructurings. Rao has represented public and private real estate funds, equity funds, and developers, as well as public and private real estate funds, equity funds, and developers, in the acquisition, development, and sale of real estate.

Surya is a computer science master's degree holder. Surya has previously worked with Robert Bosch, Office Depot, Numeric Technologies, Intel, Gilbert, GSA, Chevron, ADP, Warner Brothers, Ansett Australia Airlines, and Ryder, among other companies.
